Chinese Painting - Shuang Ying

Shuang Ying (霜英) is an ancient Chinese poetic name for the chrysanthemum.
- 霜 (Shuang) means “white frost” or “hoarfrost,” evoking the first frosts of autumn.
- 英 (Ying) means a flower, a remarkable flower, or the very essence of floral beauty.
This expression evokes chrysanthemums that continue to bloom despite the cold and the first frosts of autumn.

In Chinese culture, the chrysanthemum symbolizes nobility of spirit, purity, elegance, and strength of character. It also represents the ability to remain dignified and true to oneself in the face of difficulties.

霜英 (Shuang Ying) is therefore a poetic name that evokes delicate, refined beauty, as well as a quiet, unshakable inner strength.

This artwork is a creation inspired by traditional Chinese culture, ideal as a decorative item, lucky gift, especially to wish someone career success and abundance.
