This magnificent ensemble is inspired by the frescoes of Dunhuang , the cradle of Buddhist art on the Silk Road.
With its light fabrics and gold embroidery, it evokes the grace of the celestial women “飞天” (fēitiān) , symbols of beauty, freedom and harmony.
The outfit combines influences from ancient China and Central Asian civilizations for an effect that is both imperial and exotic , worthy of the sacred dances of the temples of Dunhuang.
