The semi-baked xuan paper sheets are pre-mounted on a rigid decorative cardboard, allowing immediate use in calligraphy or Chinese painting without preparation or gluing.
The borders are inspired by classic Chinese motifs: floral, brocade, imperial patterns, etc. These integrated frames offer a professional finish right from the completion of the artwork.
Format: 1 4.5 × 21 cm
Paper type: Semi-cooked Xuan
Support: decorative rigid cardboard
Available models: 7 decorative borders
Texture: slightly absorbent, stable surface
Patterns: Classic Chinese style
The thick cardboard reinforces the stability of the sheet:
- avoids ripples,
- improves ink control,
- allows for direct supervision
- Suitable for exhibitions, classes and gifts.
The paper Semi-cooked offers an ideal balance between absorption and control:
- Perfect for regular calligraphy, light cursive, and light painting.
- Stable ink, colors that don't bleed,
- suitable for fine and medium brushes.

Properly prepare a new Chinese inkstone (开砚)
A new inkstone is covered with a thin layer of wax. Before grinding the ink, it must therefore be "opened" (开砚), otherwise the ink stick will slip.
