This large brush is designed for large-format calligraphy and Chinese painting. Thanks to its long tip extension, generous diameter, and ergonomic handle, it allows for powerful, dynamic, and expressive strokes.
Tip extension: 7.5 cm
Base diameter: 2.3 cm
Total handle length: 14-18 cm
Bristle type: Combined bristles / wolf bristles
Handle: imitation jade material / hard resin
Manufacturing: handcrafted
The mix of hard and soft bristles offers both:
- good elasticity for broad strokes,
- strong absorption capacity,
- excellent line retention,
- a tip that remains stable even with a lot of ink.
This brush is suitable for:
- writing characters up to 40 cm,
- banners, signs, New Year couplets,
- painting artworks, etc.
A professional-grade tool, made according to traditional craftsmanship.

A new inkstone is covered with a thin layer of wax. Before grinding the ink, it must therefore be "opened" (开砚), otherwise the ink stick will slip.
